PEMBROKE, N.C. – Lander's Kendall Korte and Jessica Register both tallied double-doubles Saturday afternoon to lead the Lady Bearcat volleyball team to a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over UNC Pembroke. Game scores were: 18-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-23.

Lander improves to 15-8 overall and 6-7 in the PBC, while UNCP drops to 11-17, 2-11.

Korte had 15 kills and 11 digs and Register added 45 assists and 13 digs to lead the Bearcats. Tarryn Angermeier and Hannah Dederick added 14 kills each, while Kaitlyn Harrison had 21 digs and Kiki Hennessey 11 digs. Angermeier and Register added four and three block assists respectively.

UNCP was led by Cecilia Brandon (15 kills), Sabrina Gonzalez (13 kills, 18 digs), Marissa Baker (12 kills, 23 digs), Shekinah-Joy Toloumu (56 assists, 14 digs), and Danielle Brown (31 digs).

Lander will next play at Anderson University in a non-conference game at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29.
