GREENWOOD – Genel Sturgeon and Emilee Taylor both had double-doubles Friday night to lead the Flagler College volleyball team to a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander at Horne Arena. Game scores were: 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Flagler improves to 11-6 overall and 7-3 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 12-6, 3-5.

Kendall Korte and Jessica Register posted double-doubles for Lander. Korte had 15 kills and 12 digs, while Register added 20 assists and 18 digs. Kristen Dodge added 17 assists, Sarah Bradley 17 digs and Julia Ferreira-Alves 15 digs.

For Flagler, Sturgeon had 13 kills and 11 digs, Taylor 11 kills and 17 digs, Amelia Morgan 31 assists, Mackensie Mosley 20 assists, and Caitlyn Kovach 20 digs.

Lander will host No. 23 Armstrong Atlantic in a PBC contest at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12.
