SPARTANBURG – The Lander volleyball team won its fourth straight game -- giving head coach Ashley Stathas her 50th career victory -- Tuesday night when it defeated Converse College, 3-0, in a non-conference contest at Hayes Gymnasium. Game scores were: 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.

Lander improves to 12-3 overall, while Converse sinks to 1-14.

Kendall Korte led Lander with a double-double (10 kills, 10 digs), Jessica Register added 18 assists and nine digs, while Sarah Bradley posted 11 digs.

Converse was led by Scottie Kay Auton (six kills), Kandace Griffin (13 assists), Ashley Biggs (nine digs) and Aubrey Crosby (nine digs).

Lander will next host the University of Montevallo at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4 in a Peach Belt Conference game in Horne Arena.
