NEWBERRY – Blair Browning and Rachel Moran each posted double-doubles Tuesday night to lead the Newberry College volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-14, 25-21 non-conference victory over Lander.

Newberry remains undefeated at 5-0, while Lander slips to 2-3.

Jessica Register led the Bearcats with her own double-double of 21 assists and 11 digs, while Tarryn Angermeier totaled eight kills, Sarah Bradley 19 digs and Kaitlyn Harrison 11 digs.

For Newberry, Browning had 26 assists and 10 digs and Moran 18 assists and 10 digs. Samantha Parrish added 13 kills, Lauren Prachar nine kills and 14 digs, Amanda Soper nine kills and Elayni Stokes 18 digs.

Lander will host Converse College at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, in their home opener in Horne Arena.
