GREENWOOD - The Lander volleyball team remained unbeaten in Peach Belt Conference play Saturday afternoon when the Bearcats blanked UNC Pembroke, 3-0, in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.

Lander improves to 6-7 overall and 2-0 in the PBC, while UNC Pembroke drops to 5-11, 0-3.

Kaitlyn Harrison tallied 11 kills, while Tarryn Angermeier and Hannah Dederick had 10 each. Jessica Register produced a double-double with 39 assists and 13 digs, while Madison Kubal added 13 digs. Angermeier and Dederick totaled three blocks each.

UNCP was led by Sawyer Gray (13 kills), Ashlyn Rebok (34 assists), Marissa Baker (13 digs), Ashtin Truesdale (10 digs), and Leslie Millard (10 digs).

Lander will next play at the University of Montevallo at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, in another PBC matchup.
