GREENWOOD - The Lander women's tennis team broke a 4-4 tie when Riassa Adusumilli won the deciding match at No. 6 singles to claim a 5-4 upset against No. 32-ranked Erskine Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match at The Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander improves to 7-4 overall, while the Flying Fleet drop to 11-3.

In singles, No. 1 Corin Hallman (E) def. Brandi Cordell (L) by forfeit; No. 2 Aurelia Ruffat (L) def. Tessa Rheault (E), 6-0, 6-1; No. 3 Eliza Adusumilli (L) def. Abby O'Reilly (E), 6-4, 6-2; No. 4 Mika Goyette (E) def. Nicola James (L), 6-2, 6-3; No. 5 Cayce Bradley (L) def. Victoria Stephens (E), 6-3, 6-0; and No. 6 Raissa Adusumilli (L) def. April Horne (E), 6-4, 6-4.

In doubles, No. 1 Rheault/Goyette (E) def. Ruffat/Caitlin Fell (L), 8-1; No. 2 Hallman/Stephens (E) def. Bradley/Cordell (L), 8-4; and No. 3 Adusumilli/Adusumilli (L) def. O'Reilly/Nicki Miller (E), 8-2.
