FLORENCE – Tarryn Angermeier, Hannah Dederick and Kiki Hennessey combined for 34 kills and Jessica Register posted a double-double in assists and digs to lead the Lander volleyball team to a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Francis Marion Friday night. Game scores were: 25-16, 25-22, 18-25, 25-13.

Lander improves to 13-13 overall and 5-5 in the PBC, while FMU drops to 16-10, 4-7. Lander equals the number of wins it had in 2011 with four games left in the regular season.

Angermeier totaled a game-high 13 kills, while Dederick added 11 kills and five blocks, Hennessey 10 kills, Register 39 assists and 14 digs, Madison Kubal 31 digs and Katelyn Kraft 17 digs.

FMU was led by Megan Mooney (12 kills), Kailey Smith (30 assists, 22 digs), Rebekah Davis (25 digs), Jessica Imbimbo (13 digs), and Liz Drewry (11 digs).

Lander will face UNC Pembroke in a Peach Belt Conference game on Saturday afternoon.
