GREENWOOD - The Lander women's soccer team remained unbeaten in Peach Belt Conference play Wednesday evening when the Lady Bearcats blanked UNC Pembroke, 2-0, at the Jeff May Complex.

Lander improves to 7-1-2 overall and 5-0 in the PBC, while UNCP falls to 5-4-1, 2-4.

Jamie Shaw nailed what proved to be the game-winning goal on a free kick at 52:46. For Shaw, it was her team-leading seventh goal of the season.

Kimberly Kesler provided the insurance goal after she netted her second goal of the season when she blasted in her own missed kick at 76:29.

Lander outshot the Lady Braves, 16-6, and led in corner kicks, 10-2.

UNCP goalkeeper Britney Bennett recorded five saves, while Lander's Kelsey Blair had two.
