MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Mukia Myrick scored a game-high 23 points Saturday afternoon to lead the No. 24-ranked Lander women's basketball team to its ninth straight win, a 70-52 Peach Belt Conference victory over Georgia College at the Centennial Center.

Lander improves to 15-3 overall and is a perfect 10-0 in the PBC, while Georgia College slips to 4-14, 2-7.

Myrick connected on 8-of-21 field goals, including 5-of-13 threes and also made both her free throws. Brittni Johnson added 14 points and Kaylyn Small grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Lady Bobcats were paced by Enisha Donley's 12 points and nine rebounds. Mikalyn DeFoor and Shanteona Keys each netted 10 points and Belinda Schaafsman added nine boards.

The Lady Bearcats wasted no time after the opening tipoff as they sprinted out to a 15-4 lead in the first 3:50 of the game on three pointers by Jasmine Judge, Myrick and Brittni Johnson, two pointers by Ciara Lyons and Myrick and a pair of free throws by Johnson.

By halftime, Lander had stretched the margin to 20 points.

Lander opened the second half with a Lyons' layup to take a 41-19 advantage and the Lady Bobcats didn't get any closer than 14 points the remainder of the game.

Lander, which led 39-19 at halftime, connected on 26-of-66 field goals for 39.4 percent, including 11-of-29 three pointers for 37.9 percent. The Lady Bearcats also made 7-of-9 free throws for 77.8 percent.

Georgia College was 20-of-54 from the floor for 37.0 percent, including 4-of-12 threes for 33.3 percent. The Lady Bobcats made 8-of-12 foul shots for 66.7 percent.

Both teams had 40 rebounds, while Lander forced the Bobcats into 17 turnovers.
