GREENWOOD -  Lander's Sarah Piechocki fired in a penalty kick five minutes into the first overtime period Wednesday afternoon to lead the Lady Bearcats soccer team to a 1-0 triumph over Georgia College at the Jeff May Complex.

Lander, which posted its sixth shutout of the season, improves to 7-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the PBC, while Georgia College drops to 3-6, 2-1.

The Lady Bearcats had plenty of scoring opportunities during the game with nine shots on goal, while limiting the Lady Bobcats to two.

Piechocki's goal, which came at the 95:07 mark, was her second of the season.

Lander outshot the Lady Bobcats, 19-7, and led in corner kicks, 6-0.

GC goalkeeper Taylor Cornelius posted eight saves, while Lander's Chelsea Beetch had two.
