GREENWOOD – The Lander men's soccer team scored all its goals in the second-half Wednesday night and remained unbeaten in Peach Belt Conference play with a 4-0 win over Francis Marion at the Jeff May Complex.
Lander improves to 5-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the PBC, while FMU slips to 1-8, 0-3.
After a scoreless first half, Lander took a 1-0 lead when Clement Dauchy scored from in front of the goal on an assist from Lewis Blissett at 54:52.
Zach Acree extended the Bearcat margin to 2-0 at 57:59 on an assist from Brett Jankouskas.
With his back to the goal, Chris Hobbs took a pass from Matthew Osmond and kicked the ball over his head and passed the goalkeeper to give Lander a 3-0 lead at 71:55.
Hobbs' second goal of the game at 77:41 on an assist from Osmond for Lander's final goal.
Lander outshot the Patriots, 22-3, and led in corner kicks, 10-2.
FMU goalkeeper Nick Lucido registered nine saves, while Lander's Scott Playle had one.
