FLORENCE – The Lander volleyball team rebounded from a 1-0 deficit Friday night to defeat Francis Marion, 3-1, in a Peach Belt Conference match at The Smith Center. Game scores were 20-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-18.

Lander, which snapped a three-game losing streak, improves to 7-6 overall and 1-1 in the PBC, while FMU drops to 4-7, 0-1

Hannah Dederick paced the Lander attack with 17 kills, while Mallory Wasik added 11 and Magi Nottingham and Jordan Rix eight each. Jessica Register tallied 41 assists and 17 digs, while Kiki Hennessey recorded 15 digs and Madison Kubal 14.

Francis Marion was led by Danielle Parker (12 kills), Paige Perreault (11 kills, 11 digs), Nicole Bennett (37 assists, 15 digs), and Halli Legg (20 digs).
