GREENWOOD – Christina Barbour scored two goals Wednesday afternoon to lead the Lander women's soccer team to a 3-0 non-conference victory over North Greenville University at the Jeff May Complex.
Lander improves to 4-1 overall, while North Greenville drops to 2-2.
After a scoreless first half, which saw Lander outshoot North Greenville, 13-0, Barbour popped in her first goal from directly in front of the goal on an assist from Kendall Couch at 47:05.
Barbour's second goal stretched the lead to 2-0 at 54:30. She was assisted by Jenny Peterson.
Kimberly Kesler scored the game's final goal at 80:49 on an assist from Casey Black.
Lander outshot the Lady Crusaders, 28-4, and led in corner kicks, 18-2.
North Greenville goalkeeper Regina Ibanga tallied five saves, while Lander's Chelsea Beetch had two.
