MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Led by tournament MVP Jessica Register, the Lander volleyball team finished the Mount Olive Tournament with a 4-0 record Saturday afternoon after defeating Elizabeth City and host Mount Olive by 3-0 scores.

Lander moves to 6-3 overall on the season. Magi Nottingham and Madison Kubal were also named to the all-tournament team.

In Saturday's first game, Lander downed Elizabeth City, 25-16, 25-12, 25-22. Register finished with 30 assists for the Bearcats, while Nottingham had nine kills and Kubal recorded 14 digs and three service aces.

In the second game, the Bearcats defeated host Mount Olive, 25-16, 25-20, 25-18. Mallory Wasik tallied 11 kills, while Register had 32 saves and six service aces, and Kubal chipped in 29 digs. Hannah Dederick totaled three block assists, while Nottingham and Wasik had two each.
