COLUMBUS, Ga. - The No. 8 Columbus State University women's tennis team defeated Lander, 8-1, Saturday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference match at the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center.

Columbus State improves to 13-4 overall and 10-1 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 13-8, 5-7.

In singles, Tracy Castillo (C) def. Aurelia Ruffat (L), 6-1, 6-1; No. 2 Loriane Favoretto (C) def. Brandi Cordell (L), 6-4, 6-2; No. 3 Madeline Johnson (C) def. Eliza Adusumilli (L), 7-6, 6-2; No. 4 Andrea Redrado (C) def. Nicola James (L), 1-0, retired; No. 5 Olivera Jokic (C) def. Cayce Bradley (L), 6-1, 6-3; and No. 6 Melanise Newbold (L) def. Malin Colin (C), 6-4, 1-6, 10-7.

In doubles, No. 1 Favoretto/Johnson (C) def. Adusumilli/James, 8-0; No. 2 Jokic/Castillo (C) def. Ruffat/Newbold (L), 8-2; and No. 3 Redrado/Paiva (C) def. Cordell/Bradley (L), 8-6.
