AMERICUS, Ga. - The Lander women's tennis team won two doubles matches and four singles to post a 6-3 Peach Belt Conference victory over Georgia Southwestern Sunday afternoon at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex.
Lander improves to 10-2 overall and 3-2 in the PBC, while GSW drops to 8-5, 1-4.
In singles, No. 1 Leady Cuellar (GSW) def. Brandi Cordell (L), 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-5); No. 2 Aurelia Ruffat (L) def. Ginny Jones (GSW), 6-2, 6-0; No. 3 Eliza Adusumilli (L) def. Kalie Douberly (GSW), 6-2, 6-0; No. 4 Nicola James (L) def. Brooke Anglin (GSW), 6-2, 6-1; No. 5 Cayce Bradley (L) def. Millie McGowan (GSW), 6-2, 6-0; and No. 6 Melinda Vansant (GSW) def. Melanise Newbold (L), 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9).
