DAHLONEGA, Ga. – After winning two of three doubles matches, the Lander women's tennis team claimed four of six singles to post a 6-3 Peach Belt Conference victory over North Georgia Tuesday afternoon at the Yahoola Creek Tennis Complex.
Lander improves to 13-5 overall and 5-4 in the PBC, while North Georgia drops to 7-9, 2-7.
In singles, No. 1 Laura Chapman (NG) def. Brandi Cordell (L), 7-5, 6-2; No. 2 Stasa Vujosevic (NG) def. Aurelia Ruffat (L), 4-6, 6-2, 6-2; No. 3 Eliza Adusumilli (L) def. Juliana Chiang (NG), 6-0, 6-3; No. 4 Nicola James (L) def. Audrey Marlette (NG), 6-2, 6-0; No. 5 Cayce Bradley (L) def. Jordan Poole (NG), 6-2, 6-2; and No. 6 Melanise Newbold (L) def. Matilda Watson (NG), 6-2, 6-0.
