GREENWOOD – The Lander women's basketball team, which is 25-1 overall and 15-1 in the Peach Belt Conference, remained No. 2 in the USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll for the second week it was announced Tuesday.

Lander, which held the top spot for four weeks, is second to PBC rival Clayton State (26-0).

Clayton State and Lander are followed by: 3. Fort Lewis (24-1), 4. Arkansas Tech (22-2), 5. Delta State (22-2), 6. Western Washington (23-1), 7. Michigan Tech (21-2), 8. Wayne State (22-2), 9. Grand Canyon (23-2), and 10. Northeastern State (21-3).

Metro State (24-1) is No. 11, followed by: 12. Dixie State College of Utah (20-2); 13. Quincy (24-2), 14. USC Aiken (23-4), 15. Washburn (20-4), 16. Tarleton State (22-2), 17. Holy Family (19-3), 18. Northwest Missouri State (21-3), 19. Alaska-Anchorage (22-6), and 20. Bentley (21-4).

Rounding out the rankings are: 21. Grand Valley State (20-5), 22. California State University-Monterey Bay (22-2), 23. Edinboro (21-3), 24. Johnson C. Smith (21-3), and 25. Florida Southern (20-4).
