MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lander women's tennis team won all but one singles and one doubles match Tuesday afternoon to post a 7-2 non-conference victory over Mars Hill College at the Hart Tennis Center.
Lander moves to 7-1 overall, while Mars Hill drops to 2-2.
In singles, No. 1 Erika Pinate (M) def. Brandi Cordell, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2; No. 2 Aurelia Ruffat (L) def. Tatiana Dualiby, 6-2, 7-6; No. 3 Eliza Adusumilli (L) def. Anna Rickenbaker, 6-3, 6-3; No. 4 Nicola James (L) def. Mary Nelson, 6-2, 6-0; No. 5 Cayce Bradley (L) def. Jordan Dockery, 6-0, 6-1; and No. 6 Melanise Newbold (L) won by forfeit.
