GREENWOOD - The Lander women's tennis team posted its second shutout of the season Wednesday afternoon when the Lady Bearcats blanked Young Harris, 9-0, at The Joe Cabri Courts.

Lander improves to 5-0 overall.

In singles, No. 1 Brandi Cordell (L) def. Sara Rodgers, 6-1, 6-0; No. 2 Eliza Adusumilli (L) def. Sara Gillispie, 6-1, 6-1; No. 3 Nicola James (L) def. Sarah Deese, 6-1, 6-1; No. 4 Cayce Bradley (L) def. Victoria Herndon, 6-1, 6-0; No. 5 Melanise Newbold (L) def. Mary Beth Maxwell, 6-1, 6-0; and No. 6 Chelsey Corgan (L) def. Kelly Boyd, 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, No. 1 Bradley/Ruffat (L) def. Rodgers/Gillispie, 8-3; No. 2 Adusumilli/James (L) def. Deese/Herndon, 8-0; and No. 3 Newbold/Corgan (L) def. Maxwell/Boyd, 8-1.
