PEMBROKE, N.C. - Zach Acree scored the game's lone goal in double-overtime Saturday afternoon to lead the Lander men's soccer team to a 1-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over UNC Pembroke in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Lander improves to 8-6-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the PBC, while UNCP drops to 10-4-2, 3-3-2.

Acree, who is third in the PBC in assists with five, netted the game-winner off an assist from Michael Johansson at 102:50.

Lander outshot the Braves, 19-12, and the Braves led in corner kicks, 6-4.

UNCP goalkeeper Ryan Hanson had five saves, while Lander's Matthew Atkinson registered two.

Both teams will find out later today which teams they will face in next week's PBC Tournament.
