GREENWOOD - North Georgia's Kelsey Martin fired in the game-winning goal with 23 seconds remaining in regulation Saturday afternoon to lead the Saints' women's soccer team to a 2-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander.
North Georgia improves to 6-1, overall and 3-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 5-4, 0-3.
The Saints took the early lead when Lauren Schenk scored an unassisted goal at 8:54.
Lander tied the game at 64:15 on Christin Moss's penalty kick.
Lander outshot North Georgia, 13-11, while the Saints led in corner kicks, 8-7.
North Georgia goalkeeper Kirsten Ross recorded six saves in goal, while Lander's Jamie Shaw had five and Chelsea Beetch three.
