GREENWOOD - The No. 14-ranked Lander men's tennis team won its 10th straight match Tuesday afternoon when it defeated No. 24 Anderson University, 7-2, in a non-conference match at The Joe Cabri Courts.
Lander improves to 10-1 on the season.
In singles, No. 1 Renato Assuncao (A) def. Paul-Henri Arrigoni (L), 3-6, 6-3 (10-6); No. 2 Levan Clark (L) def. Ilya Zakharov (A), 6-1, 6-2; No. 3 Henrik Willers (L) def. Stan Atema (A), 6-4, 6-0; No. 4 John Karle (A) def. Christopher Mattsson (L), 4-6, 7-5 (10-6); No. 5 Pierre Frances (L) def. Daniel Gonzalez (A), 6-2, 6-1; and No. 6 Juan Manrique (L) def. Deni Mehagic (A), 6-3, 4-6 (10-2).
In doubles, No. 1 Clark/Frances (L) def. Assuncao/Atema (A), 8-5; No. 2 Arrigoni/Desmars (L) def. Zakharov/Karle (A), 8-2; and No. 3 Willers/Mattsson (L) def. Mehagic/Gonzalez (A), 8-2.
