BREVARD, N.C. - The No. 16 Lander men's tennis team won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles to defeat Brevard College, 7-2, Friday afternoon in a non-conference match.
The Bearcats improve to 7-1 overall, while Brevard slips to 0-3.
In singles, No. 1 Paul-Henri Arrigoni (L) def. Scott McCormick (B), 7-5, 6-3; No. 2 Christopher Mattsson (L) def. Andrew Thompson, 6-1, 6-2; No. 3 Pierre Frances (L) def. Jonathan Kuhn (B), 6-0, 6-0; No. 4 Juan Manrique (L) def. Jarred Fisher (B), 6-1, 6-4; No. 5 Maxime Desmars (L) def. Dorian Feron (B), 6-1, 6-1; and No. 6 Shane Apps (B) def. John Cappabianca (L), 6-3, 6-3.
