GREENWOOD - Lindsey Everhart recorded a game-high 18 kills and had a .548 hitting percentage Wednesday night to lead the Lander volleyball team to a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over USC Aiken at Horne Arena. Lander won 30-28, 25-19, 26-24.
Lander improves to 8-7 overall and 2-5 in the PBC, while USC Aiken drops to 7-10, 4-4.
Lander's Melissa McCracken added 10 kills and 12 digs in the match, while Candace LaRocca had 40 assists and 13 digs, and Madison Kubal chipped in 23 digs. Hannah Dederick and McCracken had three and two block assists respectively.
The Lady Bearcats posted a .276 hitting percentage compared to USCA's .149.
USCA was led by Shannon Byers (13 kills, 10 digs), Ashley Farwell (18 assists, 8 digs), Alex Petock (14 assists, 11 digs), Samantha Lukralle (20 digs), and Megan Disney (4 block assists).
Lander will host Montevallo at 7 p.m. Friday in a PBC match and Lincoln Memorial at 2 p.m. Saturday in a non-conference match.
