MONTEVALLO, Ala. - Lander men's soccer coach Van Taylor earned his 350th career victory Saturday afternoon when the Bearcats posted a 1-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over No. 11 University of Montevallo to remain unbeaten in the Peach Belt Conference. With the win, Lander earns at least a share of the PBC regular-season championship.

Lander improves to 10-5 overall and 7-0 in the PBC, while Montevallo drops to 13-2-1, 5-2-1.

Aaron Brittain, the 2008 PBC Player of the Year, scored the game's lone goal at 39:39 on a free kick, assisted by Jamie Davison.

Montevallo outshot Lander, 17-7, and led in corner kicks, 11-1.

Lander goalkeeper Matt Atkinson had three saves, while Montevallo's Brendan Ledgeway had one.

Lander next travels to Pfeiffer for a non-conference game at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27.
