GREENWOOD - The previously unbeaten Lander and Wingate women's soccer teams battled through two overtimes before settling for a 0-0 tie Monday night in a non-conference game.
Lander, which has not allowed a goal this season, is now 2-0-1, while Wingate moves to 3-0-1.
The game was nearly as even statistically as the score. Wingate outshot Lander, 11-10, while leading in corner kicks, 10-7. Wingate tallied five shots on goal, while Lander had four.
Bearcat goalkeeper Chelsea Beetch had five saves and Wingate's Miriam Boucher had four.
Lander will next open the Peach Belt Conference portion of its schedule at 3 p.m., Saturday, at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Ga.
