GAFFNEY - The Lander volleyball team extended its record to 3-0 Friday night when the Bearcats claimed its first two games in the Limestone Labor Day Tournament.
Lander opened the tournament with a 25-23, 25-13, 25-17 win over Coker, then concluded the evening with a 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-19 victory over host Limestone.
Against Coker, Magi Nottingham had 10 kills and 11 digs, while Kendall Eayrs added 10 kills, Madison Kubal 15 digs and Candace LaRocca 28 assists and two service aces.
Against Limestone, Nottingham had 16 kills and 15 digs, Melissa McCracken 13 kills and nine digs, Eayrs 10 kills, LaRocca 42 assists and nine digs, and Ashley Ferry 16 digs.
On Saturday, Lander will face Pfeiffer at 9 a.m. and Mars Hill at 11.
