GREENWOOD - The Lander and Georgia College women's soccer teams battled for 110 minutes and two overtimes Wednesday night before settling to a 0-0 tie in a Peach Belt Conference contest.

Lander is 5-1-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the PBC, while Georgia College is 5-4-2, 1-0-1. The outcome marks the third time the two teams have tied in their eight-game series. The game was also Lander's fifth shut out of the season.

GCSU outshot Lander, 15-12, and led in corner kicks, 4-3.

Lander goalkeeper Chelsea Beetch recorded six saves, while GCSU's Mary Rob Plunkett had three.

The Lady Bearcats travel to Georgia Southwestern Saturday for a Peach Belt Conference game.
