BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lander women's tennis team won two of three doubles matches and three singles en route to posting a 5-3 non-conference victory over Lees-McRae in its regular-season finale.

Lander moves to 11-6 overall.

In singles, No. 1 Gabriela Celi (LMC) def. Anni Pajunen, 6-2, 6-0; No. 2 Christine Vanard (LMC) def. Eliza Adusumilli, 5-7, 6-1, 6-4; No. 3 Vuokko Vahatalo (LU) def. Ashley Mayers, 6-3, 6-3; No. 4 Caitlin Fell (LU) def. Lyndsay Pegram, 6-1, 6-1; No. 5 Nicola James (LU) def. Cameron Joyce, 6-1, 6-1; and the No. 6 match between Lander's Ana Luiza Zaia and Lees-McRae's Jennifer Hawkins went unfinished.

In doubles, No. 1 Celi/Vanard (LMC) def. Pajunen/Zaia, 8-2; No. 2 Adusumilli/James (LU) def. Pegram/Mayers, 8-5; and No. 3 Vahatalo/Fell (LU) def. Joyce/Teague, 8-1.
