AUGUSTA, Ga. - Fourteen Lander players scored in Wednesday night's Peach Belt Conference game at Augusta State, but it was not enough as the No. 9 Jaguars prevailed 80-53 in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Augusta State improves to 18-4 overall and 12-3 in the PBC. Lander slips to 9-11, 5-9.

Ford Lawrence led all Lander scorers with nine points, while Garry Jones and Curtis Milner netted six each.

The Jaguars were paced by Garret Siler and Tye Beal, who scored 14 and 12 points respectively. Ben Madgen and Caleb Brown added 10 each.

Augusta State, which led 38-24 at halftime, connected on 31-of-62 field goals for 50 percent, including 7-of-16 three pointers for 43.8 percent. The Jags made 11-of-18 free throws for 61.1 percent.

Lander made 20-of-53 floor shots for 37.7 percent, including 5-of-18 three pointers for 27.8 percent, and 8-of-15 foul shots for 53.3 percent.
