GREENWOOD - The Lander women's tennis team scored its second shut out of the season Tuesday afternoon when the Lady Bearcats defeated Newberry, 9-0, in a non-conference match at the Joe Cabri Tennis Courts.

Lander improves to 3-0 on the season.

Kelly Cheesborough, 6-0, 6-0; No. 4 Caitlin Fell (L) def. Allison Kaiser, 6-0, 6-0; No. 5 Ana Maria Zaia (L) def. Lindsey Kaiser, 6-0, 6-0; and No. 6 Melanise Newbold (L) def. D. Williams, 6-0, 6-0.
