HARTSVILLE - Lander's Aaron Brittain netted three goals for a hat trick Saturday afternoon to lead the No. 17 Bearcat men's soccer team to a 5-0 non-conference victory over Coker College.

Lander improves to 2-0, while Coker drops to 1-2-1.

After leading 2-0 at halftime, the Bearcats turned up the heat and packed in three more goals and nailed shut any Cobra come back.

Along with Brittain, Jamie Davison and Adam Arthur each notched goals for the Bearcats, while Arthur also had three assists, with Brittain and Davison each getting an assist as well.

Lander out shot Coker 12-9. Billy Hale had five saves in goal for Lander, while Joel Tyson and Ryan Lewis combined for three Cobra saves.

Lander will host Tusculum on Tuesday, in a non-conference match at 7:00 p.m.
