GREENWOOD - The Erskine women's tennis team claimed two of three doubles matches and four of six singles Thursday afternoon to notch a 6-3 non-conference victory over Lander at the Joe Cabri Courts.

Erskine improves to 14-3 overall, while Lander slips to 11-9.

In singles, No. 1 Jennifer Gennaoui (EC) def. Fernanda Oliveira, 6-0, 6-1; No. 2 Vuokko Vahatalo (LU) def. Britton Bignon, 7-5, 6-1; No. 3 Mary Claire Rollins (EC) def. Anni Pajunen, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6; No. 4 Kacie Knox (EC) def. Caitlin Fell (LU) 2-6, 7-5, 7-6; No. 5 Jenna Tudor (EC) def. Ana Luiza Zaia, 6-1, 6-1; and No. 6 Melanise Newbold (LU) def. Hannah Howerton, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

In doubles, No. 1 Gennaoui/Knox (EC) def. Pajunen/Zaia, 8-5; No. 2 Bignon/Tudor (EC) def. Vahatalo/Fell, 8-5; and No. 3 Oliveira/Emmanouil (LU) def. Rollins/Howerton, 8-1.
