GREENWOOD - The Lander women's tennis team won two of three doubles matches and four singles to claim a 6-3 Peach Belt Conference victory over UNC Pembroke at the Joe Cabri Courts.

Lander improves to 10-6 overall and 3-6 in the PBC, while UNCP slips to 6-8, 0-6.

In singles, No. 1 Linda Tatala-Colin (UNCP) def. Fernanda Oliveira, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6); No. 2 Vuokko Vahatalo (LU) def. Jenna McGary, 6-3, 6-3; No. 3 Anni Pajunen (LU) def. Luciana Pereira, 6-2, 6-3; No. 4 Caitlin Fell (LU) def. Hannah Harling, 6-1, 6-2; No. 5 Ana Luiza Zaia (LU) def. Victoria Willis, 6-2, 6-3; and No. 6 Janna Oxendine (UNCP) def. Haley Sayer, 7-5, 6-2.

In doubles, No. 1 Tatala-Colin/McGary (UNCP) def. Pajunen/Zaia, 8-1; No. 2 Vahatalo/Fell (LU) def. Willis/Christian Minnick, 8-1; and No. 3 Oliveira/Kristinanne Emmanouil (LU) def. Oxendine/Harling, 8-0.
