MORROW, Ga. – The No. 8-ranked Clayton State women's tennis team won its fifth straight match Friday afternoon when the Lady Lakers defeated Lander, 9-0, in a Peach Belt Conference match at the Clayton County Tennis Center.

Clayton State improves to 14-1 overall and 7-1 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 8-5, 2-5.

In singles, No. 1 Anna Redecsi (CLSU) def. Fernanda Oliveira 6-0, 6-0; No. 2 Julia Chergova (CLSU) def. Vuokko Vahatalo 6-1, 6-2; No. 3 Viktoriya Semyrodenk (CLSU) def. Anni Pajunen 6-3, 6-0; No. 4 Katie White (CLSU) def. Caitlin Fell 6-3, 6-2; No. 5 Kristina Jonutyte (CLSU) def. Melanese Newbold 6-1, 6-2; and No. 6 Giovana Fenstersifer (CLSU) def. Haley Sayer 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, No. 1. Chergova/Redesci (CLSU) def. Pajunen/Ana Luiza 8-0; No. 2 White/Selma Hidass (CLSU) d. Vahatalo/Fell 8-0; and No. 3 Semyrodenk/Elena Bondari (CLSU) d. Oliveira/Kristinanne Emmanouil 8-5.
