GREENWOOD - The No. 16 Lander men's tennis team swept the singles matches and won two of three doubles to defeat Barton College, 8-1, in a non-conference match at the Joe Cabri Courts.

Lander improves to 12-4 on the season.

In singles, Damien Cordesse (LU) def. Diego Salina, 6-0, 6-0; No. 2 Andre Ivarsson (LU) def. Scott Reddick, 6-3, 6-3; No. 3 T.C. Valle (LU) def. Cesar Grobel, 6-3, 7-6; No. 4 Timur Kamilov (LU) def. Eduardo Stefani, 6-2, 6-2; No. 5 Juan Manrique (LU) def. Leandro Peron, 6-1, 6-3; and No. 6 Carlos Marques (LU) def. Will Cobb, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Grobel/Reddick (BC) def. Cordesse/Fonseca, 8-6; No. 2 Ivarsson/Benatzky (LU) def. Salinas/Peron, 8-2; and No. 3 Valle/Marques (LU) def. Stefani/Cobb, 8-4.
