GREENWOOD - The Lander men's tennis team recorded its fifth shutout of the season Thursday when the eighth-ranked Bearcats defeated North Greenville, 6-0, in a non-conference match at the Joe Cabri Courts.

Lander improves to 9-4 on the season.

In singles, No. 1 Henrik Willers (LU) def. Tomas Kurabjec, 6-0, 6-1; No. 2 George Wilkinson (LU) def. Mathew Rorech, 6-0, 6-2; No. 3 T.C. Valle (LU) def. William Ho, 6-4, 6-2; No. 4 Timur Kamilov (LU) def. G. Vasquez, 6-1, 6-1; No. 5 Carlos Marques (LU) def. Jacob Rogers; and No. 6 Carlos Benatzky (LU) def. Andy Hack, 6-1, 6-4.

In doubles, No. 1 Fonseca/Cordesse (LU) def. Kurabjec/Rorech, 8-2; No. 2 Willers/Andre Ivarsson (LU) def. Ho/Vasquez, 8-2; and No. 3 Benatzky/Manrique (LU) def. Rogers/Hack, 8-0.
