GAFFNEY - The Lander softball team fell to 3-15 on the season Thursday afternoon when the Bearcats dropped a non-conference twinbill at Limestone College, 6-2 and 3-1. (Game 1 Box | Game 2 Box)

In the first game, Austin Murray (1-6) took the loss as she struck out one, walked five and allowed four runs (one earned) on four hits in five complete innings. Lisa DeMarr (3-2) earned the win for Limestone as she struck out four, walked one and allowed two earned runs on eight hits in the complete seven innings.
Daisy Stewart (2-for-3, one run scored), Haley Foster (1-for-2, one run scored) and Brandi Bagwell (1-for-2), all doubled for the Bearcats.
In the second game, Jenna Kellett (1-7) suffered the loss as she struck out six, walked two and allowed three runs (none earned) on four hits in six innings pitched. Limestone's Emily Wallace (2-4) was the winning pitcher, striking out one, walking one and allowing one earned run on seven hits in the complete seven innings.
Stewart went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double to lead the Bearcats.
