GREENWOOD - The Lander women's tennis team swept all three doubles matches and won five of six singles to claim an 8-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Georgia Southwestern Saturday at the Joe Cabri Courts.
Lander improves to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the PBC.
In singles, No. 1 Fernanda Oliveira (LU) def. Leady Cuellar, 7-5, 5-6 (10-8); No. 2 Vuokko Vahatalo (LU) def. Anna Faust, 6-2, 6-2; No. 3 Anni Pajunen (LU) def. Sarah Harrington, 6-0, 6-0; No. 4 Caitlin Fell (LU) def. Blake West, 6-1, 6-3; No. 5 Ana Zaia (LU) def. Amber Humphrey, 6-0, 6-2; and No. 6 Laura Snyder (GSW) def. Melanise Newbold, 6-4, 6-4.
