GAFFNEY - The Lander women's soccer team snapped a three-game losing streak Wednesday afternoon when the Lady Bearcats defeated Limestone College, 1-0, in a non-conference game at Saints Field.

Lander improves to 7-6 overall, while Limestone drops to 6-9.

The Bearcats' Jannica Finnberg scored the game's lone goal in the 57th minute.

Lander outshot Limestone 6-2 in the first half, but Limestone dominated in the second period as the Lady Saints had eight shots to the visitor's four. The Lady Saints had an 8-2 advantage on corner kicks during the game.

The Bearcats' Katherine Baltz had three saves in goal, while Lady Saint Brittany Clark posted two.
