GREENWOOD - Kay Stewart registered a game-high 19 kills and had a .593 hitting percentage Tuesday night to lead the Lander volleyball team to a 3-0 non-conference victory over Lenoir-Rhyne in Horne Arena. The Bearcats downed the Bears, 25-15, 25-22, 25-20.
Lander improves to 17-9, while Lenoir-Rhyne drops to 9-15.
Mallory Wasik added six kills and seven digs for the Bearcats, while Candace Larocca posted 36 assists and seven digs, and Marina Camps 10 digs.
Brooke Christenbury led the Bears with a double-double (13 kills, 12 digs), while Hannah Stewart added 34 assists, Sam Freese seven kills and 12 digs, and Elizabeth Flattery 17 digs.
Lander had an overall .315 hitting percentage, while L-R was .200.
