GREENWOOD - The Lander volleyball team snapped a four-game losing streak Tuesday night when the Bearcats defeated North Greenville University, 25-12, 25-7, 25-18, in a non-conference game in Horne Arena.
Lander, which posted a .330 hitting percentage, improves to 15-8 overall, while North Greenville falls to 4-22.
Kay Stewart and Kerri Sorensen recorded 11 and 10 kills respectively for the Bearcats, while Magi Nottingham added eight kills and 11 digs. Candace LaRocca led the team in assists with 28 and Kirsten Stewart had 15. Ashley Ferry posted 12 digs and Marina Camps added 10.
The Crusaders were led by Charlotte Swain (five kills), Gabby McKinley (12 assists) and Amanda Bouchillon (15 digs).
