GAINESVILLE, Ga.---The Lander women's tennis team won two of three doubles matches and the top four singles matches Friday en route to a 6-3 Peach Belt Conference victory over North Georgia College & State University.

Lander improves to 5-10 overall and 3-6 in the PBC.

In singles, No. 1 Fernanda Oliveira (LU) def. Lilia Tzvetanova, 6-2, 6-1; No. 2 Vuokko Vahatalo (LU) def. Katherinew Harrison, 6-0, 6-3; No. 3 Anni Pajunen (LU) def. Caitie Murphy, 6-1, 6-2; No. 4 Kristinanne Emmanouil (LU) def. Cassie Martin, 6-4, 0-6, 6-1; No. 5 Amey Kearns (NG) def. Ana Luiza Zaia, 4-6, 6-3, 10-8; and No. 6 Jenny Bridges (NG) def. Nicholi Marsh, 5-7, 6-3, 11-9.

In doubles, No. 1 Anni Pajunen/Vuokko Vahatalo (LU) def. Tzvetanova/Maria Deaden, 8-4; No. 2 Murphy/Harrison (NG) def. Nicholi Marsh/Ana Luiza Zaia, 8-6; and No. 6 Kristianne Emmanouil/Fernanda Oliveira (LU) def. Kearns/Bridges, 8-4.
