AMERICUS, Ga.----The Lander women's tennis team collected its fourth victory of the season Friday when the Lady Bearcats defeated Georgia Southwestern, 8-1, in a Peach Belt Conference match.

Lander improves to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in the PBC.

In singles, No. 1 Fernanda Oliveira (L) def. Anna Faust, 6-3, 6-3; No. 2 Vuokko Vahatalo (L) def. Sarah Harrington, 6-4, 6-1; No. 3 Anni Pajunen (L) def. Amber Humphrey, 6-2, 6-3; No. 4 Kristinanne Emmanuoil (L) def. Blake West, 6-0, 6-3; No. 5 Laura Snyder (GSW) def. Ana Luiza Zaia, 2-6, 6-3 (10-6); and No. 6 Nicholi Marsh (L) def. Monica Osam, 6-2, 6-3.

In doubles, No. 1 Vahatalo/Pajunen (L) def. Faust/Harrington, 8-4; No. 2 Oliveira/Emmanuoil (L) def. Snyder/Humphrey, 8-1; and No. 3 Marsh/Zaia (L) def. Osam/West, 9-8.
