AIKEN, S.C.----Jarred Jackson scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds Saturday night to lead the Lander men's basketball team to an 80-62 Peach Belt Conference victory over USC Aiken at The Courthouse.
Jackson connected on 9-of-14 field goals, including 7-of-11 three-point shots, and 6-of-8 free throws. Curtis Milner added 17 points on 6-of-6 shooting and Michael Griffin netted 16.
Lander improves to 14-9 overall and 8-4 in the PBC, while USC Aiken drops to 9-16, 3-9.
The Pacers were led by Jakub Gadomski and Mark Brown, who scored 13 points each. Casey McMasters added 12 points in the loss. Gadomski also grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Lander, which led 42-31 at halftime, connected on 27-of-49 field goals for 55.1 percent, 9-of-23 three pointers for 39.1 percent and 17-of-23 free throws for 73.9 percent. The Pacers made 21-of-54 field goals for 38.9 percent, 10-of-24 three pointers for 41.7 percent and 10-of-18 free throws for 55.6 percent.
