GREENWOOD----Lander's Rachael Hine, the goalkeeper on the women's soccer team, was named the Peach Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women's soccer it was announced Monday by the league office.
Hine, a junior from Stockton-on-Tees, England, recorded two shutouts last week with a 3-0 win over Mars Hill and a 2-0 victory against Clayton State. Hine made four saves against Mars Hill and another six against Clayton.
With her efforts, Hine has moved into a tie for first in the conference with six shutouts this season. She is tied for second in the PBC with a 0.91 goals against average is third in saves with 53.
