GREENWOOD----Lander goalkeeper Garrett Daum, a 6-1 senior from Bartonville, Tex., was named the Peach Belt Conference men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week Monday for the fourth time in the last five weeks.

Last week, Daum anchored a defense which didn't allow a goal in two overtime matches. The week began with a 1-0 overtime win against Limestone as Daum had three saves and face 11 shots in 98 minutes. Against UNC Pembroke, another 1-0 victory, Daum had six saves as UNCP outshot Lander, 22-13. Daum has not allowed a goal in 420 consecutive minutes and has posted a league-leading nine shutouts this season. He leads the national with a 0.28 goals against average.
