GREENWOOD----Lezlie Logan had 15 kills, while Allison Good and Jackie Phiel added 11 each Friday night to lead the Francis Marion women's volleyball team to a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander in Horne Arena. FMU outscored Lander, 26-30, 30-24, 30-26, 30-24.

FMU improves to 11-4 overall and 1-0 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 13-4, 0-1. It was the PBC opener for both teams.

Lander was led by Sara Senn (11 kills, 32 digs), Kerri Sorensen (12 kills), Kay Stewart (12 kills), Jennifer (JJ) Edwards (31 assists, nine digs), Melissa Trippany (27 digs), Marina Camps (22 digs) and Ashley Ferry (14 digs).

Jenna Kaiser added 38 assists and 10 digs for FMU, while Jessica Strader had 31 digs and three service aces and Jessica Lombardi had 18 digs. Phiel also had 13 digs and Good had four service aces.

Lander will host UNC Pembroke at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16 in Horne Arena.
