HARTSVILLE----The No. 11-ranked Lander men's tennis team recorded its ninth shut out of the season Sunday when it defeated Coker College, 9-0, in a non-conference match.

Lander improves to 12-1 overall.

In singles, No. 1 Nicolas Legros (L) def. Matt Byford, 6-2, 6-3; No. 2 Andre Ivarsson (L) def. Tim Morton, 6-0, 6-1; No. 3 Akshay Chellappa (L) def. Danny Nash, 6-2, 6-2; No. 4 T.C. Valle (L) def. Dustin Yager, 6-0, 6-1; No. 5 Cameron Hobbs (L) def. Tyson Thompson, 1-0 (ret.); and No. 6 Caedyn Stinson (L) def. Hunter Batts, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, No. 1 Legros/Simic (L) def. Nash/Yager, 8-1; No. 2 Chellappa/Stinson (L) def. Morton/Thompson, 8-1; and No. 3 Ivarsson/Hobbs (L) def. Batts/Byford, 8-0.
